Why don't we make time for health, when we have all resources handy ?
Yes, its "Abhyanga" !! which is to be included in our daily routine.
"Abhyanga" is the most important therapeutic procedure used in Ayurveda for both healthy people and the diseased. It is also used as a 'Purvakarma' (prior to shodhana) in Panchakarma.
Abhyanga is explained as a part of daily routine (Dinacharya). Its importance is explained by Charaka with a beautiful example: Just like the pitcher, dry leather, axis of wheel becomes strong and resistant to wear and tear with the regular application of oil, Abhyanga also makes the body strong.
It is not just the mere application of oil on the body. There are various other considerations such as: Prakriti (body constitution), Dosha, Rutu (season), Vikrithi (disease). Best results of Abhyanga are obtained with the proper consideration of the above factors along with the skills of therapist.
How it is done ?
Warm medicated oil is applied uniformly all over the body and massaged with specific directions and forms to obtain the accurate results.

Though the procedure sounds very simple with enormous benefits, it is been neglected and out of practice.
Benefits of Abhyanga:
Regular practice of Abhyanga relieves stress, fatigue.
Prevents aging as oil application is nourishing to the body.
It helps in overcoming sleep disorders.
It promotes healthy skin and longevity.

It reduces dryness and cracked foot.
It improves vision and also works great in stress and sleep disorders.
